Best Surfboard Bags

There's a lot of option out there when it comes to protecting your surfboard.

Do you need a knit surfboard bag (sock) to carry your board back and forth to the beach?

Or maybe your journey is a little further?

If thats the case then your board will be in and out of the car all the time, like mine so you'll need a Dayrunner or Daylight surf bag.

If your lucky enough then you might be travelling further afield with your board so you'll need to invest in something stronger to offer more protection like the surfboard travel bags or surfboard coffins.

In this hub I'm going to look at the day travel bags, those with good protection, enough for putting on the roof rack, in the car and for carrying back and forth to the beach.

I'll look into the other surfboard bags in future hubs to include those that I rate for doing their job and looking good and generally what I think are the top surfboard bags out there.

Best FCS Dayrunner Surfboad Bag

The FCS Dayrunner surfboard bag is brilliant for lugging your surfboard about in. It's strong enough and padded enough to feel confident to put on your roof rack as it's 5mm thick with padded rail protection making it feel even more sturdy.

The bag comes in either alloy/ alloy or blue/ alloy (my favourite) and is both waterproof and heat resistant.

There is a fin slot and the zippers feel real good and robust, there's tonnes of room to keep your fins on the board during transit and enough space to stuff your wetsuit if needed. The bag has air vents as well to make sure any excess moisture can escape.

I really like the simple design on this and all the FCS surfboard bags.

Oh, and before I forget the carrying handles are real nice and comfy too. With the option to remove the long over shoulder handle if needed.

Best Dakine Daylight Bag

Dakine do some pretty great stuff too and the Dakine Daylight Bags are no exception. The Dakine surf bags are robust with some great extra detailing.

Made to 7mm thickness, these bags are well padded for protection. The main of the bag is both heat resistant to make sure that your wax won't be running everywhere when you take the board out and waterproof too.

The bag has a nice padded carry handle and also a removable padded strap.

Within the Dakine logo on the surfboard bag there's a stash pocket, just right for storing your fins or wax and the zipper is well strong and made from a corrosion resistant material.

Check out these board bags to fit any board size and know your giving your board the best protection.
